Bottecchia
Bottecchia Cicli S.r.l., established in 1924, is a renowned Italian bicycle manufacturer with a rich heritage in producing high-quality bicycles for various disciplines, including road racing, mountain biking, trekking, and urban commuting. The company was founded by Teodoro Carnielli, who recognized the exceptional talent of cyclist Ottavio Bottecchia—the first Italian to win the Tour de France in 1924—and named the brand in his honor.
Over the years, Bottecchia has been associated with numerous cycling legends and significant victories. Notably, Gianni Motta won the 1966 Giro d'Italia riding a Bottecchia bicycle, and Greg LeMond secured his 1989 Tour de France victory on a Bottecchia, marking one of the most thrilling editions of the race.
Bottecchia's product lineup is strategically divided into three lines:
- Reparto Corse: Focused on high-performance racing bicycles.
- Tempo Libero: Catering to leisure and daily use, including trekking and urban models.
- BeGreen: Dedicated to electric bicycles, reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and sustainability.
All design, technical development, and assembly processes are managed internally by Bottecchia's team at the Piove di Sacco facility, ensuring meticulous attention to quality and performance.
In 2024, Bottecchia celebrated the centenary of Ottavio Bottecchia's first Tour de France victory, commemorating a legacy that continues to inspire cyclists worldwide.
